- Extension of Colchester Bungalow for Mountnessing, Essex
image goes here
When the family of the couple that own this bungalow left home, they moved here from a much larger house. the idea was that they should still be comfortable, but not waste their time cleaning a lot of rooms that they no longer used regularly.
The downside of this was that they didn't want to lose the feeling of space that they had become accustomed to over the years. The task in hand was to take a small space and make it feel big through careful interior design and extension of a property that had remained unchanged for over 30 years.
First of all, the garage was converted into living space and an extension added to give a guest room. The house was modernised and refurbished throughout using the customer's choice of fittings and furnishings, with a new kitchen and bathroom installation being at the heart of the changes. The result is a stylish, minimalist home with an airy feel and the impression of room to relax, all created within a modest footprint.
