15/11/2013: Thank you for keeping us busy

It's good to keep busy. It is also good to find time in your schedule to say "thank you" to the people who keep you busy. Coming up to the end of the year, it is not uncommon for builders to find themselves with little or nothing to do, what with the weather and Christmas bearing down on us like a pack of wolves.

However, thanks to the constant stream of visitors to our new office and a wealth of enquiries from our website as well as personal recommendations from customers, we have a number of projects on the go at the moment that will keep us busy well into the new year.

So, taking a momentary pause, we would like to say "Thank You" to all our customers for entrusting work on their most important asset to CWN Developments Ltd. Likewise, thanks go to all our suppliers for getting the necessary materials to site on time and last but not least, thank you to the team, without whom none of this work would be possible.

It's only the boss, just step over him.

One school of thought holds that your importance in an organisation is inversely proportional to the length of time you could lay dead on your office floor before anyone noticed any effect on the business.

The idea is that as you become more valuable, your role evolves to become more strategic and long term. The organisation should be self-managing to an extent in the shorter term.

With Craig in America for three weeks, it is slightly less dramatic, but nonetheless a good test of the theory. With the team that has built up at CWN over the years, current projects are all moving along nicely. For longer term ideas, please bear with us for a short while.
